There are three options to release a fulfillment request (order) from Waiting for Inventory status:
1. Reduce Quantity. You can reduce the quantity in the request so that it matches the quantity available. If you are unsure which items for which the quantity requested should be reduced (and by how much), please read this article.
To reduce the quantity of an item in a fulfillment request, navigate to the order detail page (ORDERS --> SEARCH ORDERS --> click through to the order). Find the shipment that is in "Waiting for Inventory" status. For each item, you will see the ITEM QUANTITY in blue. For the item where the quantity requested is greater than the quantity available, click on the ITEM QUANTITY (see attachment, "Shipment Waiting for Inventory").
In the attached example, the Mitt has quantity requested of 1 but quantity available of 0. In order to release the shipment from Waiting for Inventory status, the quantity must be reduced to 0.
When you click on the ITEM QUANTITY, a pop-up will appear where you may reduce the quantity requested of that item. In our example, we want to reduce the quantity from 1 to 0 (see attachment, "Reduce Quantity").
Shortly after the quantity is reduce (~10 min), the shipment will be released from Waiting for Inventory status.
2. Send additional inventory. You can send additional inventory to Mochila to satisfy open demand. Once the inventory arrives at Mochila and is received into inventory, the open orders will be released from Waiting for Inventory.
3. Cancel the shipment. You may also cancel the shipment entirely. To do so, click on the CANCEL SHIPMENT at the bottom of the shipment detail box on the order detail page (see attachment, "Cancel Shipment").
