Mochila requires an advanced shipping notification (ASN) before receiving inventory in Mochila's fulfillment centers (FCs). The ASN indicates Mochila's fulfillment center to which the inventory is being sent, a list of the UPCs in the inbound shipment, and the expected quantity of each UPC.
The ASN must be clearly marked on the product arriving at Mochila's FC.
- For product arriving on pallets, the ASN ID must be clearly marked on the outside of each pallet, and the product must be securely shrink wrapped to each pallet.
- For small parcel shipments, each carton must be clearly marked with the ASN ID.
- For ocean-freight containers, the shipping container id may be used as the ASN ID but please note that all product on the shipping container must be on a single ASN ID. If you wish to send multiple ASN IDs for a single ocean freight container, then the product must be shipped on pallets, the product must be shrink wrapped to each pallet, and each pallet clearly marked with the ASN ID.
Once Mochila receives the incoming inventory at its warehouse, the actual quantity received is compared against the expected quantity. Any variances are investigated and reported to you.
PLEASE NOTE: Mochila can not accept an ASN, or process incoming inventory, for items that are not set up in Mochila's system. To inform Mochila of new items, please see the section on Setting Up Items with Mochila.
