The following requirements should be observed when barcoding product to be received at one of Mochila's facilities:
- The printed label should include white space around the side of the label - min 0.25" on the sides and 0.125" on the top and bottom.
- Minimum print resolution is 300DPI.
- Barcodes must be printed in black ink on white, non-reflective labels.
- Minimum label size is 1"(H) x 2" (W).
- Allow a minimum of 0.25" between the edge of the label and the edge of the product or polybag.
- If printing from a PDF file, be sure that the scaling is set to 100%; this helps to avoid distortion of the image, which can result in unscannable barcodes.
- The barcode must include the UPC and the Item Name. The item name should adequately describe the item and be specific to the UPC. For example, "Blue Sweater, Medium" describes a specific UPC. "Sweater" or "Blue Sweater" probably describes many UPCs.
Mochila can accept the following encodings:
- Code 93
- Codabar
- Code 39
- Enable Interleaved 2 of 5
NOTE: Mochila's scanners and system will not recognize QR codes.
